Weekly Updates (5/24 – 5/29)

Whew, it’s been a week.

I’ve been working my way through the LIVINGSTON GIRLS audiobook, but it’s taking me longer than I thought to review. The production value and narrator are excellent, but I don’t seem to have much energy to work on anything outside of my day job lately. The problem is my day job has gotten chaotic and stressful, and it’s wreaking havoc on my mental and emotional health. It puts me in a difficult situation. On one hand, I am grateful to have a job, as I know many people do not. On the other hand, I wonder how much of my stress would be reduced if I weren’t working this job.

Regardless, I am still putting all the energy I can into teaching myself to code. JavaScript is kicking my ass, but I’m not going down without a fight. I’m going to be a killer programmer.

I’ve also opened auditions for the UNBOXED audiobook, and damn, is it hard to organize two audiobook productions at once! I think I can do it, but it IS a lot of work.

On top of all that, we’re trying to get a house. Although we’re under contract, I won’t relax until everything is more or less in place. We have a lot to clean out, organize, and pack, and not a lot of time to do it, since we’ll be moving at the end of June.

Thank you all for your continued support! I’ll have a shiny new blog post up for you all this weekend. Your generosity means a lot to me, especially in these uncertain times.

Keep writing.
