Whew. Last week really flew by. I feel like I blinked and it was the weekend. Anyway, this week is a big one, and I’m looking forward to it! If you’re new to this page, at the beginning of each week, I share updates from the week before, whether I accomplished my goals, and what I plan to tackle in the week ahead. I also want to hear about what you’re up to in the comments.
Without further ado, here are the goals I accomplished last week:
- Buy new shoes (because fibromyalgia sucks and I need to invest in a good pair of shoes finally)
And here are some neat things that weren’t on my list:
- UNBOXED turned one and I hosted a bookaversary party on Instagram Live
- My short story “Cleared for Reentry” was shared on the Wicked Library’s Patreon
- I reviewed CROSSROADS by Laurel Hightower for Fully Booked with Briana Morgan
I’m still working on MOUTH FULL OF ASHES because it’s taking some turns (thank God for a flexible outline) that serve the story better. I’ve had two plot bunnies running around in my head as well, but I’m trying to ignore them until after Scares that Care at least. I am so excited to attend! Mostly, I’m spending this week scrambling around trying to get everything ready, but here are my other goals for the week:
- Write and schedule my weekly Fully Booked review
- Mail UNBOXED signed copies to Live winners
- Write and schedule my August newsletter (to go out while I’m at the convention)
- Pack for the convention
- Finish current draft of MFOA
- Find beta readers for MFOA
Is this still a lot? Yes. Am I wild for trying to do all this? Maybe. But am I going to let that stop me? Absolutely not.
Anyway, thanks again for your support. My Patreon growth has been slow, and it’s been hard not to focus on numbers. I’m trying to keep in mind that every dollar helps—because it does—and I want to reiterate how much I appreciate your encouragement and generosity. If you have ideas for improving your Patreon experience, please let me know! I want to provide as much value as possible.
What are your plans for this week?
